VT Miltope Introduces New Semi-Rugged Laptop

Offering semi-rugged derivative of the HP ZBook 17.

    HOPE HILL, AL, October 21, 2013 /24-7PressRelease/ -- VT Miltope, a company of VT Systems, Inc., today announced they will be offering a new semi-rugged derivative of the HP ZBook 17 computer mobile workstation called the SRNC-17, Semi-Rugged Notebook Computer.

VT Miltope President and CEO Julie Briggs made the announcement with HP's Todd Gustafson during the Association of the United States Army's (AUSA) 2013 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The SRNC-17 is a highly reliable, high performance-computing platform designed for less harsh conditions, but still requiring a degree of ruggedness. The core architecture is based on the 4th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and Mobile Intel 8 Series QM87 Express chipset. And like every VT Miltope computer, it is designed and tested to stringent MIL SPEC and environmentally screened to withstand the harshest conditions in the world.

The SRNC-17 will be factory configured to ship with either the Windows 7/8 or Linux 64-Bit Operating Systems.
