/24-7PressRelease/ - TORONTO, ON, CANADA, June 19, 2006 - Wallace Wireless, a leading provider of mobile incident management and business continuity solutions, today announced the release of WIC OREIS Mobile. This solution provides mobile first responders with the critical onsite HazMat information they need to protect themselves and the people they are helping.
Operation Response Institute (ORI), powered by its affiliate, the Emergency Systems Information Network Corporation (ESINC), has been providing hazardous materials information to emergency responders with a desktop solution since 1995. By listening to first responders and meeting their needs, OREIS and Wallace Wireless have developed this intuitive and easy to use product, for the estimated two million users in over 50,000 agencies currently using OREIS throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.

WIC OREIS Mobile continues to meet the needs of first responders by providing mobile access to the OREIS solution. BlackBerry handhelds provide critical tools in hazmat response by allowing quick access to five hazmat databases as well as UN ID, placards, and railcar IDs queries.

This easy to use mobile solution is unique in providing responders with RailCar ID information. Hazardous materials traveling by rail can be quickly accessed through the OREIS database on a BlackBerry. When first responders arrive on the scene of a transportation incident, rapidly identifying the danger enables them to act faster and can save lives.

"We are excited to bring Operation Response database access to the handheld", said Rob Moffat, President of Wallace Wireless. "Access to hazardous response information will bring the men and women who protect us, home safely."

WIC OREIS Mobile follows in the tradition of the Wallace Wireless solutions that ensures access to accurate, critical information during any incident. On scene responders are able to communicate quickly and safely by using their BlackBerry. "OREIS web users have been asking for mobile access to our database on the scene, said Dale Everitt, ESINC president and distributor of OREIS database access. "With our new partnership, we are able to continue meeting the needs of first responders."

For more information about the solution, visit the Wallace Wireless website or view our product demonstration at the World Conference on Disaster Management in Toronto on Monday, June 19 at 2:45 - 3:15pm.

About Operation Respond Institute and ESINC

The Operation Respond Institute (ORI) is a not-for-profit, public/private partnership serving the emergency response community with lifesaving technology tools. ORI has as its primary mission providing electronic information linkages and data exchanges from carriers to emergency responders, as they prepare for and respond to commercial transportation incidents. ORI, powered by ESINC. specializes in developing unique software and messaging systems for use in responding to commercial transportation incidents. The focus is on railroads, motor carriers and the maritime industries, with particular emphasis on information and guidance relating to responses to hazardous materials incidents. This unique focus has led to the development of the Operation Respond Emergency Information System (OREIS ) software, which currently reaches more than 56,000 National, State, Provincial and Local agencies connecting with over two million emergency responders.

ESINC is the international network partner of Operation Respond. The ESINC network connects the over 56,000 emergency response agencies now using the OREIS software via email, text message and fax, reaching an estimated 2,000,000 emergency responders in the US, Canada and Mexico. The ESINC network was developed to provide emergency response agencies the time sensitive, critical notification and information sharing capabilities essential to safe and effective emergency responses to hazmat and other transportation incidents. ESINC's focused messaging and alerting capability enables all concerned responders to quickly receive the same exact hazardous material content information and chemical-specific emergency response guidance — the key to beginning a safe, timely and effective incident response.
