LITTLETON, CO, August 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- WARHEADS was shredding it up at this year's ESPN Summer X Games in Los Angeles, California. The over 140,000 people in attendance was Summer X Games largest crowd ever, and WARHEADS was front and center.

WARHEADS has participated in eight X Games events, and each one gets more extreme than the last. This year, WARHEADS sampled over 300,000 pieces of candy to crazed fans and introduced its new Wally Warheads mascot costume where fans could take pictures with their favorite character. In addition, spectators were treated to the WARHEADS Extreme Skatepark Game, where participants could win WARHEADS branded merchandise, such as bandanas, water bottles, foam hats, temporary tattoos and candy. Lucky grand prize winners won custom designed WARHEADS skateboard decks.
"The response to WARHEADS by the attendees was overwhelming, especially to the WARHEADS Sour Chewy Cubes. The Summer X Games is our main event of the season, and it once again exceeded our expectations. I know we made our current consumers happy, and there is no doubt we made some new fans as well," stated Andy Telatnik, Director of Marketing.
In addition to the partnerships with ESPN Winter and Summer X Games, WARHEADS will continue to drive brand awareness and trial in 2011 with events that match the alternative lifestyle of the WARHEADS brand. WARHEADS will get attention from the video game community with its sponsorship of Major League Gaming, the leading video game competition in North America, and WARHEADS is a leading sponsor of the USA Ultimate Collegiate Championships and the SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular.
WARHEADS also participates at the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival and at Comic-Con, the largest comic and video convention in the world. Over two million pieces of candy will be sampled in 2011.
