    /Cambridge Who's Who/ - Conway, SC, May 30, 2008, Warren Koegel, Director of Athletics for Coastal Carolina University, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of higher education.

A former professional football player, Mr. Koegel has been in his current position at Coastal Carolina University for eight years. An authority on the subject of sports, he is responsible for communicating and interacting with his employees and athletes, scheduling games and fundraising for the teams.

Mr. Koegel began his athletic career at his alma mater, Pennsylvania State University, where he was co-captain of the football team. He went on to play for the National Football League on the Oakland Raiders and the New York Jets. The highest point of his academic career has been building up the campus to becoming the third-most applied to school in the state. He attributes his success to the supportive people who have surrounded him and became involved in college athletics because he was an athlete all his life.
