FORT WORTH, TX, April 20, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/
-- Some places have a magic about them that makes it impossible to let them go. When DFW Real Estate
Developer Ron Sturgeon purchased a parcel for development in the Alliance Area of Texas, he felt that way about the 20-stall, 4000 square foot horse barn that occupies part of the property.
Connor Farms previously used the space to breed and train some of Texas's finest Percherons, a breed often used in English riding and show jumping competitions. "I had offers to remove the barn, but decided to make some changes to the development plan to preserve it," said Sturgeon, a local serial entrepreneur recently featured on CNBC's Blue Collar Millionaires.
The space has restrooms and a small kitchen and plenty of parking, so it would be an ideal venue for a wedding planner wanting to do rustic or shabby-chic weddings, said Sturgeon. Sturgeon indicated that it might also make unique commercial property
for a yoga studio, marital arts dojo, or other fitness-related business. "We're ready to upgrade it. It's fun to think that the property that once produced so many great horses could produce champions again as a dojo or cross-fit business," said Sturgeon.
The property will be getting a complete interior remodel, new energy efficient HVAC, and new insulation, according to RDS Leasing Manager Jim Eaton. "We will do the finish out inside to meet the needs of the new tenant, glass doors, sheetrock, etc, while keeping the building's rustic charm," said Eaton.
