/24-7PressRelease.com/ - Charlotte, N.C. - Brad Pinkerton, president and founder of College Signing Day, announced the launch of his company’s website, CollegeSigningDay.com.
The site is a web-based athletic recruiting service that is designed to help high school athletes gain exposure to college coaches across the nation. According to Pinkerton,
athletes who join the site have the opportunity to create their own athletic profile that will be available to thousands of college coaches.
“CollegeSigningDay.com is a great tool for high school athletes who are waiting for their chance to be seen by the right college,” Pinkerton said. “We take the slight chance that an athlete may be seen on the field and magnify that by making his or her profile readily available online.”
Like most recruiting services, there is a fee to join CollegeSigningDay.com. What is unlike most other services is the relatively low cost. An athlete can sign up for a one-year membership for less than $70. Some recruiting services range into the thousands of dollars.
Pinkerton says that’s not the only difference between CollegeSigningDay.com and the others.
“We take a unique approach to the recruiting process,” he said. “Most services try to bring the athlete to the coach by sending unsolicited mail and videos. This stuff usually ends up in the trash. What we do at CollegeSigningDay.com is bring the coaches to the athletes.”
Pinkerton said this method ensures that the coaches are able to find what they are looking for by searching through the available athletes using fields such as sport, position, region, state and graduating class. College coaches are able to join the site for free to access CollegeSigningDay.com’s athlete database.
As a former college baseball player, Pinkerton has experience with the recruiting process. He suggests that athletes remain proactive before and during the recruitment phase. The site offers several additional services that keep the athletes involved and help them keep track of their recruiting progress.
Along with the services of CollegeSigningDay.com, he offers a little advice to help high school athletes who are looking to make the move to college.
“While we at CollegeSigningDay.com think our service will give (athletes) the best chance to be seen by a college coach, we know we aren’t the only service out there,” he said. “I suggest using our service in addition to other recruiting services in order to maximize your exposure. It’s not just about giving yourself the best opportunity, it’s about giving yourself the most opportunities.”
CollegeSigningDay.com is an innovative website devoted to giving prospective college athletes maximum exposure to college coaches. College Signing Day allows high school athletes of all ages the opportunity to increase their exposure by creating a searchable athletic résumé that will be available to every college in the country. A profile created on CollegeSigningDay.com is a valuable tool for attracting the attention of coaches who may not have seen the athlete otherwise.
