Ciochon joined Wendel Rosen in 2007. He maintains an active litigation practice, primarily focused on real estate matters. His clients benefit from his diverse background, which includes litigating securities, fiduciary defense, and insurance coverage matters to successful resolution. During the past year, he procured a seven figure judgment following a three week bench trial, obtained emergency injunctive relief against a state agency, and coordinated, as lead defense counsel, settlement of a class action funded entirely through insurance contributions. He formerly served as General Counsel of Mckinley Capital Management, Inc. Ciochon earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (1992) and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles (1988). In 1996, he received the prestigious San Francisco Lawyer's Committee for Civil Rights' Keta Taylor Colby Award.
Marquez focuses on civil litigation, representing clients in contract and lease disputes, including advising commercial landlords in the eviction of tenants, and representing office, retail and restaurant tenants in cases involving breach of lease and other disputes. In addition, Marquez handles business tort claims and other business-related matters. An active fixture in both the legal and Hispanic communities, Marquez serves on the Board of Directors of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Contra Costa County, is an undergraduate admissions interviewer for Princeton University, his alma mater, and is the current President of the Board of Directors, of the Donald P. McCullum Youth Court, an East Bay program that offers first-time youth offenders a second chance through peer justice and accountability. Marquez received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law (1999) and his A.B. in politics from Princeton University (1996).
Murai joined Wendel Rosen from Aiken, Kramer & Cummings, Inc. in 2007. His practice focuses on construction and business-related disputes. He represents property owners, design professionals, general contractors, subcontractors and sureties in a variety of construction matters. He also represents clients in a broad range of business-related disputes, including shareholder derivative actions, partnership litigation, easements disputes, adverse possession and landslide subsidence. In 2009, Murai was named a "Northern California Rising Star" by Super Lawyers, an award given to no more than 2.5 percent of lawyers in the state. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Murai worked as a lobbyist for the American Institute of Architects, California Council and also served on the Joint Legislative Staff of the National Multihousing Council and National Apartment Association. He earned his J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law (2001) and his B.A. from the University of California, Davis (1993).
