WES "SCOOP" NISKER is a Buddhist meditation teacher, author, radio commentator, and performer. His widely praised books include The Essential Crazy Wisdom (Ten Speed), The Big Bang, The Buddha, and the Baby Boom (HarperCollins), and Buddha's Nature (Bantam). The best of Nisker's radio commentaries from the 1960s and 1970s were collected in an hour-long National Public Radio special titled "A Decade In Your Ear." Nisker is also the founder and co-editor of the Theravada Buddhist journal Inquiring Mind.
