When Writing Your Book, Two Ghostwriters Are Better Than One
The Writers For Hire perfects the ghostwriting process with a unique team approach to manuscripts that combines the power of multiple editors with the efficiency of a lead project writer.

SARASOTA, FL, August 20, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- When ghostwriting a book, The Writers For Hire, Inc., uses a unique writing method that journalists and writers workshops have known about for years, but that the ghostwriting industry has typically ignored. The method is called "teamwork." As obvious and non-original as that sounds, the typical relationship between a ghostwriter and client is a one-on-one approach that can suffer from the absence of strong editors.

Newspapers have long understood the necessity of an editor-in-chief to the writing process. And writers who are attempting the do-it-yourself approach to books often circulate their manuscript among workshops, allowing for multiple angles of editorial feedback. However, a client involved with a single ghostwriter often misses out on the editorial process.

The Writers For Hire has streamlined a four-person-team approach to ghostwriting that solves this potential problem by combining the power of multiple editors with the efficiency of a lead project writer. The process involves a lead writer, a support writer, a senior editor, and "blind proofreader," who reviews the book with a set of fresh eyes at the end of the process.

"It's not that an individual freelance ghostwriter can't do a great job," says Wintress Odom, co-founder and -owner of The Writers For Hire. "Certainly they can. But no one person can get the sort of insight into a work that a strong team can provide. And if you can manage to provide that team insight while maintaining the personal relationship that clients expect from a single ghostwriter - then I think the clients really get the best of both worlds, and the opportunity for a better product."

The Writers For Hire, Inc., specializes in non-fiction manuscripts, both personal and business-related. Typical projects include:

• family histories - often purchased by son's and daughter's to preserve their parents' memories
• business books - traditionally sold online or given out by industry professionals for branding benefits
• corporate scandals, tell-alls, and true crime novels - frequently procured by individuals who have first-hand experience with unusual events
• self-help books, political commentaries, and educational manuscripts.

According to Odom, writing a book with The Writers For Hire can be enjoyable and fulfilling, but she also warns that clients should be aware that writing a book requires some stick-to-itiveness. "There will be a lot of smiles to go around - both during the process and after you have a printed copy with your name on the cover," says Odom. "But you have to go into the process with realistic expectations. Even if we're doing 90% of the legwork, it's still your story - you still need to communicate with us, often, and you'll still have to give frequent feedback." The process from initial kick-off meeting to final printing takes six months to one year.
