He received his Associate Degree in Business Administration in 2009 from Middlesex Community College, where he also received an award from the business division of the college. In 1985, Mr. Passarelli received his certification in digital and microprocessor electronics from the Computer Processing Institute.

Mr. Passarelli is a member of Masonic Lodge 77. He is the elected president for the Honor Society and an elected member of the Coca Cola All Connecticut Academic Team.
