A strong scholar and military veteran, Mr. Mirams earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Stanford University in 1956. He then served as a captain and fighter pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years before embarking upon his career in construction engineering. Now retired and residing in Florida, Mr. Mirams is married with four grown children. His hobbies outside of the office include skiing and sailing.
