The results for the 2008 100% Music Songwriting Contest have been released and are now available at:

100% Music Songwriting Contest is an annual international songwriting competition that is open to amateur or professional songwriters/musicians where their songs are judged by industry professionals and where several thousand dollars or music prizes (audio production, music software, publicity, etc.) are awarded to the winners.

For the 2008 edition, there are 3 overall winners and 45 winners from 11 different countries: USA, France, Canada, Australia, Switzerland, Netherlands, Greece, Honduras, Portugal, Sweden, and Iceland.

The overall winners are The Brave (Australia), Elizabeth Willis (USA), and Ingvi Thor Kormaksson and Fridrik Erlingsson featuring GudrĂșn Gunnars et JJ Soul Band (Iceland).

The songs were preselected by the 100% Music Songwriting Contest, in which the winners were chosen by international industry professionals: presidents of record labels, journalists, professional musicians, and music reviewers.

The 2009 edition is currently in preparation and will commence in the first quarter of 2009.
