WinningPonies.com, a specialized
horse racing handicapping website, has announced today that it will begin publishing its rating figures on its selection forms. The calculated ratings will appear beginning February 1st.
Previously, WinningPonies categorized horses into tiers, but the actual calculated ratings used to rank the horses, were never revealed to customers. "By providing our numerical ratings to our customers, they can have an idea of how close in ability the horses really are," said James Morrison, President of Operations. "This additional information should enable our customers to be even more successful in their race analysis."
WinningPonies.com has also announced that it will raise the price of its virtual currency,
WinningCredits, from 50 cents to 75 cents as of February 1st. A full 10-race card will now cost $7.50. "This is our first price increase ever", said Morrison. "We have been adding features and value for our customers continually over the last 2 years and our costs have increased as a result. However, we are still priced below our competition, which typically charges $10-$15 per track for less information and fewer features."
Customers still have the opportunity to stock up on WinningCredits at the current price of 50 cents until February 1st.
In addition to revealing their calculated ratings, WinningPonies.com will provide video demonstrations of how to navigate the site and how to interpret the prediction form. The site will also provide links on its toteboard page to local weather information for each track. Morrison says, "This will help users determine the track conditions for upcoming races."
WinningPonies.com provides predictions on Thoroughbred, Quarter Horse, and Arabian races at most American and Canadian tracks. The site boasts features such as: dynamic predictions based on track condition, surface and scratches, pro-rated pricing for tracks whose racing day is already in progress, full past performance data for the entries, a same-day result scorecard and a year's worth of historical results and performance data.
