WASHINGTON, November 19 /EIN News/ -- Citing a 'money trail' of U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney's ownership in enterprises including the Vanguard Group, which owns an interest in private prisons, a grand jury has indicted Cheney on charges related to alleged abuse of prisoners being detained in Willacy County federal detention centers.
The indictment also charges that Alberto Gonzales halted an investigation into the alleged abuse while he was attorney general.
