Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Bonnie Palis as a Distinguished Professional in Her

    PRINCETON, KY, January 24, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bonnie Palis, Fiction and Freelance Business Writer and Owner/Horse Breeder at Suncrest Farms, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Bonnie Palis will be featured in the upcoming edition in 2015/2016.

Writing professionally since her freshman year in college, Bonnie Palis was a Sports Reporter and Columnist for The Syracuse Post Standard in 1976. Transitioning into a role with 3M as a Visual Communications Sales Representative soon after, a role she held for six years, she was honored among the top 10 of 500 employees for sales excellence. Getting back into writing, Palis began freelance writing for Syracuse Magazine before becoming the CEO of Previous Systems Franchise publicity services.

A natural storyteller who is now earning a living as a fiction and freelance business writer, Palis has since authored numerous articles, as well as a novel, entitled 'Uglier', which is the story of a bipolar woman who is attempting to lead a normal life.

"I chose to write this book because there are approximately 2.4 million Americans alone who are diagnosed with bipolar disorder and it is vastly misunderstood," Palis said. "Keep in mind those 2.4 million people represent only those that have been diagnosed. Many go undiagnosed and untreated."

Known by many as a hermit, Palis enjoys her alone time. Also the Owner and Horse Breeder for Suncrest Farms since 1993, she loves her time spent in nature with the animals. Her breeding program is a small one, which means that each and every horse is bred to its potential. Suncrest Farms breeds what they know will produce or perform from proven bloodlines, breeding a serious performance horse from the Quarter Horse crossed with the Thoroughbred.

Palis holds a BA from Syracuse University. An active group member of Lincoln Trails Dressage Society and The United States Dressage Federation, she also donates blood every 56 days as her civic responsibility and grows her own vegetables on her land to make sauces. Married to Jerry Darnell for 33 years, she has one daughter who resides in Singapore and works in marketing.
