On Tuesday, November 18th at 8 p.m., the Nuyorican Poets Cafe will be full of "Spirited Irish fiddle with a global twist", played by the Cady Finlayson Band.
Just back from playing the World United Music Festival in Texas, the band is ready to energize their NY home with lively jigs and reels, beautiful ballads and the American folk / world influences that give the band "a global twist". About Cady Finlayson, Fiddle
Cady has brought her Spirited Irish fiddle to 33 states at venues including Carnegie Hall, the Brooklyn Museum of Art, and the East Providence Heritage Festival. Her three fiddle CDs have attracted listeners from Australia to Japan and her Irish Coffee CD was one of the CDs nominated for "Best Celtic CD of 2007" by the NAR lifestyle awards.
