New Moon Girls interview with Amiee Mullins
- MINNEAPOLIS, MN, July 23, 2008 — In the August Sports issue of New Moon Girls magazine partners with Go Girl Go the primary programming focus of the Women's Sports Foundation, to bring a positive message to young girls ages 8 - 12 about body image, fitness, and how girls can approach challenges in their lives.
The issue features an interview with Aimee Mullens, President of the Women's Sports Foundation by 12 year old Emma De Vera, one of the Girls Editorial Board members at New Moon Girls magazine. Mullins talks about being an athlete with a disability and what it was like to be named one of People magazines "50 Most Beautiful People" saying "it's nice to get a mention in a magazine, but at the end of the day, beauty has to be something you see in yourself."
