/24-7PressRelease/ -- Orange County nonprofit Working Wardrobes today announced the launch of Smart Women, a program uniting like-minded, sophisticated women sharing a common advocacy for Working Wardrobes' mission to help its clients achieve self-sufficiency. The inaugural group of Smart Women will gather for the first time at a Feb. 16 launch event hosted at The Center Club in Costa Mesa. The launch of Smart Women will also be the event that introduces Working Wardrobes' new Fashion for Breakfast series.
"As there's strength in numbers, Smart Women brings together strong, powerful women dedicated to helping us transform the lives of our clients," said Jerri Rosen, founder and CEO of Working Wardrobes. "Our new quarterly Fashion for Breakfast series is the perfect backdrop for our Smart Women initiative as our breakfast guests will be able to interact with successful women while supporting our community and providing others with a hand up."
Smart Women's annual membership fee will help support Working Wardrobes in its mission to provide life-changing career development and wardrobe services to those overcoming challenges such as domestic violence or homelessness. In turn, member benefits include unique opportunities for women to connect with others in support of a charitable cause, while enjoying special perks and shopping privileges, including Early Bird VIP shopping at exclusive South Coast Plaza retailers and a discount card good at Working Wardrobes' The Hanger Boutiques. Smart Women participants also receive two complimentary one-week memberships to The Center Club and VIP admission to Working Wardrobes' other client events throughout the year.
In addition to a complimentary seat at the Feb. 16 event, Smart Women members also are invited to attend at no charge each of the four quarterly Fashion for Breakfast events in 2012. Every breakfast will feature an engaging presentation by a leading expert in design, costuming and retail.
The keynote speaker at the inaugural Feb. 16 Fashion for Breakfast event will be celebrity costume designer and wardrobe stylist Marcia Lynn Zigler, who has dressed celebrities for some of the largest events in Hollywood. Zigler has used her vast experience to help personalities "cultivate their style" for events such as the Grammy's, Academy Awards, Emmy's, the 2012 People's Choice Awards, as well as for commercials and feature films.
