WHY DO THIS?
Scientific research has demonstrated two profound realities.
1) When a small percentage of human beings harmonize their consciousness in meditative states, it positively effects the whole of society. In fact, a study by the TM Foundation in the Middle East found that when a small percentage of the population practiced meditation it reduced the violence in the region correspondingly.
2) The Global Consciousness Project, which came out of research at Princeton, found that when humanity focuses en masse it physically effects the world.

World Healing Day and World Tai Chi & Qigong Day works to focus human consciousness on healing for a 24 hour period each year, based on scientific research showing that when humanity focuses en masse it physically effects the world, and that when a small percentage of a community harmonizes their consciousness with meditative techniques it positively effects the larger society around them. WHD's WTCQD efforts have been officially recognized by the United Nations World Health Organization, and governors of 20 US States, mayors and legislators of many nations.
