/24-7PressRelease/ - GARDEN GROVE, CA, March 11, 2008 - C World Hongming Foundation has donated US$3,000 to Ashland University, an Ohio-based comprehensive university, to support its educational programs.
A cashier's check issued by East West Bank was given to Dr. Frederick Finks, Ashland University President, when he was at the Alumni and Friends Social held in Garden Grove, California on March 9, 2008.
This donation is the first gift made by World Hongming Foundation after its tax-exempt status was officially approved by IRS as a public-supported foundation in late 2007.
Dr. Hengyucius, World Hongming Foundation President, said, "We are pleased to make the first donation to Ashland University after our permanent tax-exempt status was established with IRS. We are planning around one million dollars to support various charitable and educational projects and activities in 2008. We are open to all significant projects from non-profit organizations and universities worldwide. We also welcome for-profit companies and individuals to join us at any time."
