/24-7PressRelease/ - CARBONDALE, IL, March 15, 2006 - Miroslaw Pieprzyk's career in art started early with his first sale at the age of 6. His success has continued into his adult life with work in various churches and public buildings in Canada and mounting art sales on line. His unique style caught the eye of BoundlessGallery.com and earned Artist of the Month honors.

"I loved to copy the religious scenes from an illustrated Bible, and felt like a true artist in 1979 when a priest chose my portrait of Pope John Paul II to be displayed in a church," said Pieprzyk.

His first public success also led to disappointment when the same priest asked for Miroslaw to draw a crucifixion scene where he "miserably failed with the anatomy." At the age of 14 Pieprzyk started to paint in oils, making portraits of members of his family as well as copying the portraits of other artists. At 15 Miroslaw moved with his family from Italy to the U.S. where he finished High School at Schurz in Chicago, Ill, before moving again to Canada. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Ontario College Miroslaw moved back to Italy to work as an illustrator in Rome.

Back in Canada now, Miroslaw works full-time as an art director at a national magazine and is expecting the birth of his second child any day.
While his focus is on painting he learned the basics of jewelry from his grandfather, who worked as a jeweler in Krakow, Poland.
"Art definitely does run in my family, but it skips generations sometimes as my father is a diesel engine designer," said Pieprzyk.

The greatest inspiration for his work is Rembrandt, for his technical ability and the unbelievable ability to touch the human soul.

Miroslaw Pieprzyk's work will be displayed on the BoundlessGallery.com homepage for the remainder of March.

BoundlessGallery.com is committed to providing the best experience possible for those looking to buy and sell art online. In their first full year in operation the site made 1,300 sales while managing a collective inventory of more than 10,000 pieces.
