After increasing demand from specialty shops and e-commerce retailers to carry the one-of-a-kind line, Eco-Panda is now forming partnerships with outside retailers who desire to retail their junior swimwear line. Eco-Panda swimwear launched in June of 2009 and shook the swimwear industry with its cutting-edge technology, trend-driven designs, and consumer friendly price points. Eco-Panda is leading the sustainability trend in swimwear and will be launching a bold and enticing 2011 collection in February 2010.
Eco-Panda swimwear is composed of MIPAN regen recycled nylon, which is created from recycled fishnets. The recycled fishnets are ground into fabric chips, which are then liquefied, creating fiber, which in turn is spun into fabric. By utilizing recycled nylon, greenhouse gas emissions are reduced by 28% and the consumption of our natural resources is reduced by 27%. This process also reduces the lack of available landfill space.
