Worldwide Who's Who Names Fiona G. Davy Professional of the Year in Entertainment

Davy, box office and festivals manager and business development agent for Interactive Theatre International and Imagination Workshop P/L, specifically for the 5-star international touring show Faulty Towers the Dining Experience, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Entertainment. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Fiona has 18 years of experience in entertainment, with 15 years of experience at Imagination Workshop P/L. She became involved in her profession because she is an actor. After years of performing she wanted to stay in the industry, but in a different way. She has now found her niche, and has been developing skills in theatre company management and sales for the unique immersive theatre they produce. She loves to share her skills as an educator and to advance the theatre company in the hearts and minds of clients. She is responsible for business development, which entails selling this unique concept to venues and promoters around the world, managing the show at Australian and International arts festivals and coordinating a booking system that incorporates online, remote and venue sales.

The company produces and promotes quality shows on a national and international level. Interactive theatre as a concept that removes the boundaries normally associated with theatrical performance. The fourth wall is removed (performers are not limited to the traditional stage of mainhouse theatre); whilst some scripting is involved, a great deal of the performance is improvised, bouncing off ideas offered by audience members. Immersion theatre conceptually transports attendees from being spectators who watch a production passively, to actually experiencing what is happening around them. High quality immersive theatre elicits the response: "It was just like being there." They forget it isn't real, and truly become involved, sometimes to the point of voluntarily participating.


Ms. Davy has been developing skills in theatre company management and sales for many years and loves to share these skills — as an educator, and to advance the theater company in the hearts and minds of clients. In the near future, Ms. Davy would like to see the show expand into the USA and Canada. She would also like to pass on what she has learned in a professional manner, create a program or system using it in training others who want to do what she does.

Ms. Davy received a Diploma in Event Management in 2010, Bachelor of Education in early childhood in 2003 from from Queensland University of Technology. In 1997, she received a Bachelor of Arts in English and Drama from Massey University, New Zealand and ATCL (Assoc. Trinity College London) in Speech & Drama. Interactive Theate International are member of the Live Performance Association (Australia).
