Worldwide Who's Who Names Irma G. Alvarez Professional of the Year in Higher Education

Alvarez, Associate Professor for Universidad Interamericana De Puerto Rico, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Higher Education. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Ms. Alvarez has devoted her career to the field of education. Specializing in computer education, she has honed her expertise in instructional systems and computer programming. She serves as an associate professor for the Universidad Interamericana De Puerto Rico. Ms. Alvarez teaches courses, including graduate-level instructional design. She also trains teachers and personnel in computer education and general information.

Ms. Alvarez holds a master's degree in instructional systems and is pursuing a Ph.D. in distance education from Open University. A member of APAD, she attributes her success to her love for what she does. Looking toward the future, Ms. Alvarez intends to focus on research regarding distance learning.
