Worldwide Who's Who Names James Bevan Professional of the Year in Security Consulting Services

    LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, May 4, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James Bevan, Director of Conflict Armament Research Ltd., has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Security Consulting Services. An internationally recognized weapon and conflict analyst, Mr. Bevan specializes in the tracing of illicit weapons and ammunition in the world's conflict zones. From tracking the Lord's Resistance Army in the early 2000s, to embedded research among armed groups following the second Sudanese war, he has more than a decade of experience with African conflicts. From 2008-2011, he headed the UN Sanctions Monitoring Group on Côte d'Ivoire and, in 2011, established Conflict Armament Research—a UK-based company which provides technical assistance to governments and international organizations worldwide. In 2012, the company supported investigations in Afghanistan, Libya, Sudan and Syria in addition to numerous other activities, including counter-proliferation training and technical assistance to US government-funded projects.

Mr. Bevan is a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, with a master's degree in international politics, economics and law from the University of Geneva. In the near future, Mr. Bevan hopes to further consolidate his company's position and expand its range of services.
