Worldwide Who's Who Names Janine C. Wesselmann Executive of the Year in Fine Art

    WEST REDDING, CONNECTICUT, November 30, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Janine C. Wesselmann, President of The Art Circle, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Executive of the Year in Fine Art. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

With 43 years of experience in Fine Art, Ms. Wesselmann's expertise includes painting, printing, and art publishing. An impressionist painter, she is also a cultural emissary to France, and conducts workshops and classes in the United States and Europe.

Ms. Wesselmann is one of the premier impressionist artists working today and a master of color, light and composition. Known by both critics and collectors for her parodies of European and American social life, she has been listed in Who's Who of American Women since 1983. She has been painting in oils since the age of 6 and in very unusual circumstances - through revolutions in third world countries and ambassadorial parties in the capitals of Europe, as well as on remote islands and in African jungles. Across four continents and four decades, Ms. Wesselmann has painted a world of bazaars and fortune tellers, French cafes, and intimate soirees. Her corporation, The Art Circle, handles the printing, production and publicity that goes along with what she does.

Ms. Wesselmann's 40-year dedication to her painting, her cultural emisserial work to the capitals of Europe, and her continuous support of worldwide charities and educational institutions have contributed to her global success.

Ms. Wesselmann received a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Ladycliff College in 1980 and in Design from Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., in 1969; She did post-graduate coursework in education at the University of Georgia in 1970, at the University of Utah in 1969. She attended Stoneleigh-Burnham in Greenfield, Mass., from 1963 to 1965.
