Worldwide Who's Who Names Jay J. Kraemer Professional of the Year in Sales & Marketing

    HOUSTON, TEXAS, September 12, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jay J. Kraemer, the Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for MicroMed Cardiovascular, Inc., a Cardiovascular Care Provider, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Mr. Kraemer joined MicroMed Cardiovascular, Inc. in February 2010 as Vice President responsible for Global Sales, Marketing and Clinical Support. He has been in sales, marketing and business development his entire career with the past 22 years focused on the medical device industry. He became involved in his profession when he started as a Professional Representative at Merck & Co. upon graduating from college and has always been interested in health care and medical technology. Previously, he served as Region Sales Director for InTouch Health Technologies, a Development Stage Company focused on the use of Remote Presence Robotics in Telemedicine, providing specialized medical care to patients in rural areas via the Internet. Mr. Kraemer also spent 16 years in several positions of increasing responsibility in sales, sales leadership and business development at Medtronic, Inc. in both the Neurological and Cardiac Rhythm Management Businesses.

In his current position at MicroMed Cardiovascular, Inc., Mr. Kraemer is responsible for managing the Field Team in Europe, identifying U.S. Centers to participate in FDA IDE Clinical Studies, building the U.S. Sales & Clinical Support Team and developing new markets in Latin America and the Pacific Rim. He attributes his success to a strong work ethic learned at an early age, his honesty, and his ability to work collaboratively with others. In addition, Mr. Kraemer is passionate about helping restore patients to a full life with the technologies he represents and leading teams who create customer champions by consistently exceeding their expectations.

Mr. Kraemer received a BBA from Minnesota State University and is an active member of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation. Outside the workforce, he enjoys fishing, playing golf, spending time with his family and being active in his church.
