Ever since her childhood, Kate has been called toward artistic endeavors. She has now gained 27 years of experience in the field of fine arts, specifically in the area of painting. Currently as an artist she handles her own installations and exhibits, featuring inks, oils, watercolors and gouache on walls, loose, stretched or unprimed canvas, rag paper and board. Her work focuses on portraiture and figurative painting as she explores her fascination with human psychology and body language. As a teacher in art for most of her professional life, Kate has endeavoured to share her enthusiasm and knowledge of art with those around her. She has worked with people as young as three years of age right through to those well into their seventies. As a painter and teacher, she attributes her success to her passion for her work.

Kate Walsh earned a Bachelor of Education from The University of Melbourne, followed with a Master of Fine Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (R.M.I.T.) University. A member of the Victorian Institute of Teaching and RMIT University, she plans to continue to teach and exhibit locally in Australia and overseas.
