Worldwide Who's Who Names Opera Singer Kreshnik Zhabjaku Professional of the Year in Operatic Performance

    Bronx, NY, October 17, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Opera singer Kreshnik Zhabjaku has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Operatic Performance. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

A childhood fascination with music prompted Mr. Zhabjaku to become an opera singer and he has since gained 31 years of experience in operatic performance. As a self-employed singer, he excels in delivering unforgettable performances to fans around the world. In 2002, he was the recipient of the Franco Gentilesca Young Artist Award. In 2001, he was the Arleen Auger Memorial Fund Scholarship Winner. In 1999, he was selected as the winner of the Albanian American Women's Organization Scholarship. The same year, he earned the Marywood University Scholarship. In 1996, Mr. Zhabjaku was distinguished as the Best Singer in the Albanian Art Song Competition. In 1993, he performed in the University of Music's gala concert in Vienna, Austria. In 1987, he won First Prize in the Young Voices competition in Tirana, Albania. In the near future, Mr. Zhabjaku hopes to sing at larger opera houses and be remembered as an excellent performer.

Mr. Zhabjaku received a master's degree in 2003 from Mannes College of Music in New York City. In 1997, he participated in the in Andalusian Music Festival in Marseilles, France. He earned a summer diploma from the Akademie Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria in 2008/2009.
