Worldwide Who's Who Names Rose A. Maxwell, Ph.D. Professional of the Year in Clinical Research

Maxwell, Ph.D., director of clinical research obstetrics and gynecology for the University of Cincinnati Physicians LLC, has been named a Worldwide Who's Who Professional of the Year in Clinical Research. While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

With more than 15 years of experience in clinical research, Dr. Maxwell has emerged as a leader in the field. Prior to joining University of Cincinnati Physicians LLC, were she works as the Director of clinical research in obstetrics & gynecology, she was the lab manager-statistician for the Tri-State Tobacco & Alcohol Research Center in psychiarty, and an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Maxwell recovered more than $90,000 of uncollected clinical trials revenue within her first nine months of employment in her current position and increased research accounts receivables an average of 25 percent each year over seven years, increasing annual accounts receivables from $125k to $500k. She also published her master's thesis and has been a contributor to articles in the field of alcohol recovery and OB/GYN. She is separated by the fact that she loves what she does, has the skills to do it well, and enjoys working with different people.

Currently, Dr. Maxwell is re-organizing the clinical research division for the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology into an even more efficient and profitable organizational unit. She attributes her success to working hard with efficiency, being process oriented, and having excellent people skills. She has an uncanny ability to take something that isn't organized and fix it.

Dr. Maxwell received a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Cincinnati; a master of arts in social psychology from the University of Cincinnati; and a bachelor of arts in psychology from Johnson State College. She is a member of the Institutional Review Board of the University of Cincinnati. She is also on the Cancer Center Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee for Univeristy Hospital Barrett Cancer Center. Dr. Maxwell is the former president of Recovery Resource Center, Inc, an alcohol recovery charity. She has received funding for her research projects from several Bley Fund awards.
