MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA, July 27, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- C++ remains one of the most popular languages for developing high-performance business applications across multiple platforms. However, service-oriented architecture (SOA) solutions have been predominantly based on Java. Bridging that divide to combine the performance of C++ applications with the agility of SOAs can be a game changer for many enterprises.

IT architects and developers who are interested in learning how to integrate C++ applications into their SOAs are invited to attend "C++ in SOA." This interactive, online class is being offered at no cost as part of the WSO2 SOA Summer School program. It will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. Pacific.

The two-hour "C++ in SOA" class will provide an introduction to implementing Web Services with C++, including the concepts around contract-first development, working with the Web Services Description Language (WSDL), code generation, and REST-style architectures. The session also will explain techniques for interoperating in heterogeneous environments, such as those using Java and Microsoft .NET. Additionally attendees will learn about reliable messaging; how to send, receive and cache attachments; and how to ensure the security of enterprise Web services.

Listen to Preview Podcast
The C++ in SOA course will be taught by Nandika Jayawardena (http://wso2.com/about/engineers/nandika) , the WSO2 WSF/C++ product leader, who also developed the class content. Hear Nandika share his insights on integrating C++ in an SOA system on a preview podcast available at http://wso2.org/library/podcasts/podcast-c++-soa.

SOA Summer School
The eight-week SOA Summer School program is WSO2's antidote to the recessionary blues, opening its doors to all individuals who want to boost their SOA knowledge and expand the expertise they bring to either current or prospective employers. The courses are taught by the same industry-leading technical experts behind WSO2's professional consulting, design and training--providing thousands of dollars worth of professional development at zero cost.

IT professionals can sign up to attend one or more of the WSO2 SOA Summer School classes by going to http://wso2.org/training. Sessions cover architectural patterns, scalability, security, governance, mashups, ESBs, C++, and business process management within an enterprise SOA.
