/24-7PressRelease/ - TORRANCE, CA, March 07, 2008 - Express Postal Options International (XPO), a premier provider of international and domestic mailing services, has hired Michael Graham as the company's new business development manager. In this role, Graham will focus on seeking new opportunities for international mailings, as well as expanding the company's rapidly growing domestic services.
"We have been trying to get Mike to join XPO for years because of his experience in the industry and knowledge," said Kelly Herold-Martinez, CEO of XPO. "We created this new position to fit his skills, which will allow for a more dedicated effort to continue XPO's swift growth."
Graham brings over 20 years of industry experience to XPO. He recently worked as a product development manager with DHL Global Mail where he managed the International Cross Border account base in the Western Region. Previously, he was the national accounts manager for the Western region with Deutsche Post Global Mail where he managed the overall relationship with Fortune 500-sized accounts covering all product lines.
In the early 1990s, Graham also started his own firm, Specialty Mailing (SMI). SMI was a start up company that offered international mail services combining airlift and overseas postal injection as well as a consolidator for the USPS' new ISAL and IPA products. Specialty Mailing was sold to Quick International Courier which later sold it to Deutsche Post Worldnet in 2000.
"The industry keeps changing. In the beginning, there were just a few large players in the international mailing business. Then smaller players sprung up that were very successful, but most were gobbled up by the big companies," said Michael Graham, business development manager of XPO. "However, big company cultures cannot easily adapt to the specific needs of each account. That is why I'm so excited about joining XPO where they truly excel in customizing programs for the customers. This is where the future of the industry is and I'm glad to be part of it."
Graham holds a business degree from Arizona State University.
