Our brokers have consistently sold more superyachts than any other brokerage company worldwide for the last five years in a row. The numbers speak for themselves, why go anywhere else?

    MONACO, September 24, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Monaco Yacht Show
Fraser Yachts has opened the Monaco Yacht Show 2015 with a press breakfast aboard 52 metre LADY NAG NAG and provided an overview of the yachting market in 2015. International and yachting press enjoyed a conference with Roberto Giorgi, Executive Chairman, Vassilis Fotilas, Commercial Director, and Lisa Peck, Global Marketing Manager at Fraser Yachts. Fraser Yachts bring eight superyachts to the show, of which four are from the Amels shipyard.

Brokerage
Fraser Yachts has reported that after a strong finish to 2014, the overall number of yacht sales in 2015 are 10% down compared to 2014 (220 vessels sold in the first half of 2014 and 199 vessels in the same period of 2015). However, this figure is up 15% on 2013. The overall value (based on the last asking price) is down 39% in 2015 compared to 2014 predominantly due to no sales reported in excess of 50M EUR in the first half of 2015.

Forecast is that sales will increase into the 3rd and 4th quarters boosted by Fraser Yachts' important presence at Monaco and Fort Lauderdale yacht shows. Fraser Yachts have LADY NAG NAG, IMAGINE, FELIX, AND AQUARIUS, all Amels yachts at the Monaco Yacht Show. Fraser Yachts also brings SHERAKHAN, OKTO, TO-TOK, HELIAD II.

New Build
New Build is a strong market at the moment especially with the sale of a 74 metre Amels on Monday by Antoine Larricq. Project management will be done by VF Yachts with Chris Semmens, Technical Director at VF Yachts. "Supply is exceeding demand" said Vassilis Fotilas "but well-known yards such as Amels, Benetti, Heesen, Oceanco, and Lurssen are doing well." Fraser Yachts have excellent relationships with the shipyards.

Charter
Fraser Yachts has reported the charter division is enjoying a great year with real growth being seen on 2014 figures and solid forward bookings already being taken for the 2015 season in the Caribbean and in the Mediterranean, which is significantly earlier than previous years. Vassilis Fotilas said: "A very strong 2014/2015 winter charter season has been followed by an equally strong summer season. This is the third year in a row that we have seen a very healthy demand for charter, which is good news for the industry as a whole. 60m+ yachts were booked up very early in the season with very little availability for anyone looking for a last minute deal."
Fraser Yachts advises charter clients to book early. In terms of destinations the traditional hot spots such as the South of France, Sardinia and Southern Italy remain strong, while new regulations in Spain have increased charter bookings in the Balearics.

Yacht Management
Fraser Yachts has 65 yachts under management and reports that the market is stable. Roberto Giorgi has introduced Harold Van Exem as Director of Yacht Management former Manager of Yacht Services. Yacht Management includes the following services: crew, technical, safety, insurance, and vessel accounting.

Crew
Fraser Yachts has outlined how important crew is for the development of the yachting industry. Fraser Yachts is sponsoring James Griffiths, Captain of MY IMAGINE, in the Cogs for Cancer cycle race from Barcelona to Antibes - a 600km 4-day ride. The Captain of the Year award will be held at the Monaco Yacht Club tomorrow night sponsored by Ulysse Nardin, Mercedes, VSF and Pride Megayachts. Guests of Honour include Nick Sloane the salvage hero of COSTA CONCORDIA and which sunk near the Isola del Giglio in January 2012, and Regina Catambrone, the founder of the Migrant Offshore Aid Station. Regina to date has saved over 9000 refugees with her explorer vessel. Lisa Peck announced a new Yacht Management Captain of the Year award would be held for the first time at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November.
