SUWON-SI, SOUTH KOREA, October 03, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Yang-Sook Kim, Chief Executive Officer of HansemEUG, Inc., was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Branding. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.

Ms. Kim has three decades of industry experience, demonstrating a varied, vast expertise in content development, technical documentation, desktop publishing, content management, localization, terminology, linguistic QA, and mobile app/web development. Her company has been providing high-quality user guidance for consumer electronics for more than two decades. It is unique among the user documentation companies in Korea because it is the only company to offer a one-stop service, from manual development to localization to app/web development.

In Ms. Kim's current role of 24 years, she handles numerous duties. She develops content for a wide range of international clients, including several Samsung divisions, Canon, Inc., and up-and-coming Korean companies. Also, she oversees more than 180 employees develop content for printed instructional manuals, technical guides and marketing content for mobile devices, video tutorials, and apps. She is also creating innovations that include situational guides with rich, highly visual content that drives both user instruction and marketing simultaneously. Finally, she provides source content that is translated to more than 50 languages and is distributed around the world daily.

In the future, Ms. Kim aspires to become the ultimate Asian language service provider, to set up more than three production facilities in the Asian countries, and to establish sales offices in China and the U.S. She has been successful because of the fast development of the manufacturing industry in Korea. It was her major client, Samsung, and its fast growth that also resulted in the mutual growth of her company. She also credits her active involvement in the international TC events and relationships with overseas TC professionals for the rapid growth of her company This has helped her stay professionally up to date in the industry and has prepared her for the changes in trend and technologies.

Ms. Kim became involved in her profession immediately after earning a bachelor's degree in English education from Kyungnam University with honors in 1984. She wrote English manuals for a manufacturer who exported consumer electronic goods overseas. At that time, there was no institution or training for technical writers, so she had to learn and build her own knowledge by studying the existing manuals. During this time, she also earned various technical communication-related certifications.

Ms. Kim thinks the highlight of her career is having her company grow as the largest content development and localization business in Korea. It is significant that the Common Sense Advisory has ranked her company in both 2012 and 2013 as one of the Top 100 language service providers in the world; the only company of its kind in Korea. She is happy to represent her country on many international stages and has done so at various TC events/meetings/roundtables around the world.

Consequently, Ms. Kim has garnered numerous company awards in addition to the ones from Common Sense: HansemEUG selected as One of the Best Companies to Work For (2013) and the Exemplary CEO Award (2010) by the Korean Government. She was named president of the Korean Technical Communication Association. She was also selected as a representative of Korea for the International Roundtable for Technical Communication (2010-2013) and for the IEC TC3 Standards Technical Committee of the Korean Agency of Technology and Standards (2011).

Recently inducted into Worldwide Branding, Ms. Kim also maintains affiliations with the Korean Technical Communication Association (KTCA), the Japan Technical Communication Association (JTCA), Tekom (Germany), and the Society of Technical Communication (USA). Charitably, she supports the Korean Red Cross.
