Youngwoo Park, Ph.D., Recognized for Commitment to Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Park has published more than two dozen articles in professional journals pertaining to veterinary ophthalmology



His work has been published in Veterinary Ophthalmology, the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Journal of Veterinary Medicine.

    SUSEONG-GU DAEGU, SOUTH KOREA, May 24, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Youngwoo Park, Ph.D., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Recognized for his commitment to veterinary medicine, Dr. Park began a scientific career upon receiving a bachelor's degree at Seoul National University in 2004. He went on to serve as an officer of the Korean Army Veterinary Corps, which is located in Daegu, Korea. During this time, Dr. Park pursued continued education toward his ultimate goal of serving the community as a veterinarian. From 2010 to 2011, he was recognized as the chief veterinarian of the department of veterinary ophthalmology with the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at Seoul National University. Prior to completing a Ph.D. through Seoul National University in 2014, Dr. Park served as the chief of veterinary ophthalmology with the Daegu Animal Medical Center for two years.

Dr. Park most recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship through the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015. Throughout the course of his career, he has published more than two dozen articles in professional journals, such as Veterinary Ophthalmology, the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and the Journal of Veterinary Medical Science. Some of his representative publications include, "Evaluation of risk factors for development of corneal ulcer after non-ocular surgery in dogs: 14 cases (2009-2011)," "A retrospective study on the association between vitreous degeneration and cataract in dogs," and "Corneal plaque containing levofloxacin in a dog."
