/24-7PressRelease/ - OAKLAND, CA, September 13, 2008 - Marin County's annual Esurance Tennis Classic's celebrity tennis event which attracts the biggest names in professional tennis to benefit Bay Area's Youth Tennis Advantage (YTA) programs, will get underway next month with a wonderful new twist for the YTA organization and the children it serves.

Harbor Point Charitable Foundation, a sponsor of the tennis event is helping YTA fund many more after school tennis programs through an outstanding fundraising opportunity that allows YTA to keep all of the proceeds from tournament ticket sales, for every general admission ticket its sells. The Esurance Tennis Classic will take place October 11-12, 2008 at Harbor Point Tennis Club in Mill Valley, California.
.
"Esurance Tennis Classic is one of the most exciting tennis events, if not the most exciting event, in the San Francisco -Bay Area," according to Loretta Conway, executive director at YTA describing the upcoming tennis event, Esurance Tennis Classic. "When Harbor Point Charitable Foundation decided to help YTA by allowing us to sell tournament tickets and keep all the proceeds, we knew we'd just embarked on a dynamic fundraising opportunity, one that casual tennis players, local coaches, and people who just want to give back to others, particularly children and tennis with few financial resources, would enjoy being part of."

Conway also explained that through YTA's arrangement with Harbor Point Charitable Foundation, and depending on how many people end up purchasing tickets through her organization's website, funds raised will be applied to expanding afterschool tennis programs that YTA currently operates in various locations in Oakland, San Francisco and its program located on the UC Berkeley campus. In fact, for every $10,000 raised, five additional children will be able to attend an YTA afterschool program for a full year. For every $2,000 raised, one additional child will be able to attend an YTA program for a year.

"When you consider how funds directly impact the numbers of children that will be served, then it is clear all of us at YTA get very, very excited about this event and the potential for growth, added Conway. "We anticipate great participation at this year's Esurance Tennis Classic and it is one of those events that tennis enthusiasts don't ever want to miss," said Conway. "My hope is that folks know that YTA is selling great seats to a great event where Martina Hingis, Conchita Martinez, Brad Gilbert and other familiar names will be playing, YTA is delighted to have Harbor Point Charitable Foundation and Esurance committed to young people's growth and development."
