WEST PALM BEACH, FL, April 28, 2010
/24-7PressRelease/ -- The award winning architectural firm, Yates Rainho Architects, recently changed its name to YRA Design to align more closely with the firm's expanded services combining commercial and residential architecture, planning and interior design.
In addition to the name change, YRA Design announced the addition of partner, Kermit C. White.
Mr. White brings over 15 years experience in commercial design including high rise multifamily, governmental, health care, hospitality and residential mixed use projects and large scale developments.
He most recently has been involved in the redesign of the 1515 Flagler Drive, the West Palm Beach 30-story condominium which was imploded in February of this year; the third tallest building in the world to be imploded.
Prior to joining YRA Design, Mr. White, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), headed Principle Design & Development, LLC, a 28 person firm specialized in both architectural and engineering services.
YRA Design has a nearly 20 year history providing a full range of architectural design and consulting services to area builders and developers throughout South Florida and the Caribbean.
Under the direction of founding partner Denis A. Rainho, the firm has received numerous awards and recognition for its design of luxury private residences in both country club communities and oceanfront locations.
"Our collaboration offers our clients more extensive services under one roof," said Mr. Rainho. "During these transition times, we have found it to our advantage to bring a more diversified design team to our clients. Broadening our client base poises us for future growth."
Mr. White is licensed in Florida, Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey and is a member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). He is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) and a founding member of the National Sustainable Building Council.
"While we have always sought to incorporate LEED practices, it is more critical in project planning for today and the future," added Mr. Rainho. "Our partnership increases our abilities to offer a design team focused on environmentally responsible design."
