Yvette Lawal began her career as a Research Biochemist working for Searle Pharmaceutical. There, she published many articles on new therapies in pain management and cardiovascular treatments in the Inflammation Research & Drug Metabolism and Disposition Journal. The research of these new emerging therapies led to the launch of a unique pain management drug which became a blockbuster for Searle/Pfizer. In a new role at Pfizer, Yvette then successfully launched two blockbuster therapies in pain management. Building on her scientific values, she created a role at Abbott Laboratories where she combined her passion for new emerging therapies and competitive intelligence by offering her proven ability to produce multimillion gains as a driver for targeted marketing measurement and unified business strategies. With her strong knowledge for dyslipdemia / cardiovascular, she successfully launched a one of a kind drug that targets all three lipids. She has a track record of driving unprecedented revenue through the expansion of global and domestic markets, and producing viable roadmaps to guide the implementation of robust strategies with ROI for the pharmaceutical industry. She currently works as the Director of Strategic Intel/Analytics for Cardinal Health. In this role she is responsible for strategy and business insights for pharmaceutical distribution.
Yvette is member of SCIP (Strategic Competitive Intelligence Professionals), Sigma Xi -The Scientific Research Society, and (HBA) Healthcare Businesswoman Association. She has published many articles on new therapies, particularly in cardiovascular.
She is a 5-time Chicago Marathon runner and a strong believer of supporting young/old healthy eating goals.
Yvette received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from University of Wisconsin - Madison. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Yvette is the wife of Kabir Lawal and the proud mother of two children, Carrie and Kabir Joseph (KJ) Lawal.
