CARY, NC, January 28, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Zarafa, the fastest growing groupware company in Europe, proudly announces that it has issued today the RC1 of the Community version of its Zarafa Collaboration Platform (ZCP) 6.40. The final 6.40 is scheduled to be released in March 2010.

One major new feature of the 6.40 Community ZCP is the full-text indexing by Lucene search engine allowing instant searching through emails, appointments, contacts and even inside attachments.

The WebAccess has been updated with a Today View [1], keyboard shortcuts, a Calendar List View, extended information in the Address Book and a Delegation Wizard. Community contributions like the Google Maps plugin enables users to combine Zarafa's intuitive look & feel with Google's application.

In a demo [2], Zarafa's CTO Steve Hardy, gives an overview of the new features of the 6.40 RC1.

All feedback from the Zarafa user community is highly valued, and extensive testing of the new features in the new Community ZCP is encouraged. Downloads [3] are available on Zarafa's website where feedback [4] can be provided as well.
