No Arms, No Legs, No Limits! The Art of Zuly Sanguino's Life Without Limbs

NEW YORK, NY, June 14, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Award-Winning Filmmakers Brent Owens and Sam Pollard have launched an Indiegogo campaign to co-produce the story of a young Columbian artist born without limbs in their upcoming documentary Zuly No Limits. Born into a family of artists, and despite her severe disability, Zuly began painting by age four - but was on the brink of suicide by her teens. The film will explore the issues of childhood bullying, sexual abuse, disabilities, social exclusion, and the life-changing impacts of empathy.

Throughout her young life, Colombian artist Zuly Sanguino endured some of the worst circumstances imaginable. Because of her disability, she was ostracized socially, and like too many children, she was victimized by bullying and sexual abuse. She saw suicide as her only option, but a fateful invitation to speak at her local church changed Zuly's course forever.

Zuly No Limits tells the story of transformation from abused and desperate teen, to flourishing artist and speaker, and will shed light on the all-too-common issues confronted by children around the world today. Filming will take place at various locations in the USA including Hawaii and Puerto Rico, as well as in Bogota, Columbia. The film is expected to be completed by April of 2018.

Brent Owens and Sam Pollard have been in the film industry for more than thirty years. Mr. Owens is a Writer, Producer and Director whose credits include seven specials broadcast on the top-rated HBO series America Undercover and Black International Cinema winner, The Bronx: A Cry for Help.
