New Virus Threat Heightens Need for Lifeboat

/24-7PressRelease/ - POWELL RIVER, BC, CANADA, January 04, 2006 - Reports that a huge virus threat has rocked Microsoft have prompted Tugboat Enterprises Ltd to step up promotion of their highly acclaimed data rescue product Lifeboat. The newly discovered flaw - that could expose hundreds of millions of Windows PCs to virus infection - may result in crashed computers, broken operating systems, and serious disruptions at offices.

"While we have every confidence that Microsoft will make changes to remove this vulnerability from their Windows operating systems, in the meantime we urge PC owners to take this potential threat seriously." CEO Judi Tyabji Wilson remarked. "Our product Lifeboat will provide an inexpensive insurance plan to rescue valuable data from such an attack." Lifeboat can rescue the users' data in minutes and bypass damage, helping people get back to work immediately.

Lifeboat data rescue system has received high accolades from professionals and customers alike since it hit the market in the 2005. It is built on a platform that allows the user to by-pass a non-operating Windows application and rescue the entire content of an infected computer within minutes in only three key strokes.

"I must stress that while we can rescue data that is infected," cautions Jonathan Lyster, Chief Technology Officer, "this particular problem requires careful attention to the virus protection available on the computer to which this data is being transferred. Lifeboat Data Rescue will certainly be a most useful tool to have in your PC kit if this virus infects your system." If you have a crash, make sure you have a Lifeboat! No other product does what Lifeboat can do.

Lifeboat Data Rescue lets you create a bootable CD that lets you easily recover data from a failed computer even after the operating system has failed. Lifeboat has an intuitive user interface and is so simple and convenient that even someone with no technical knowledge can use it. The Lifeboat CD, created by the Lifeboat executable file, uses your existing network and copies all your data to another computer. That means in the event of a system crash, you can be up and running in no time. Lifeboat uses the barest minimum of system resources which allows the program to recover data even when components like the video card have begun to fail. There's no need to open your computer, and the product comes with a complete downloadable manual.

System requirements: Lifeboat will run under all Windows platforms and requires an Intel compatible PC (486 or better), 16 MB RAM, a CD drive, Network connection to a second computer, a CD burner; Floppy drive required if CD drive not bootable.

Lifeboat is available for $99.99 from the Tugboat Enterprises website at www.tugboatenterprises.com Lifeboat is the first of five new software products that Tugboat Enterprises Ltd will be bringing to market in the next two years.
