GLOBAL WARMING: THE 3 STEP CLIMATE ACTION PLAN

People are concerned that world governments are not reacting quickly enough to address the human causes of climate change.

/24-7PressRelease/ - CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA - April 9, 2007 - These findings are gleaned from hundreds of comments left on the Global-Greenhouse-Warming.com web site. According to Global-Greenhouse-Warming.com, founder Steve Ewings, the 3 Step Climate Action Plan provides the individual with an avenue to take personal action. Mr Ewings said, "The 3 Step Climate Action Plan allows individuals to make a difference and overcome mounting frustration, because governments are not committed to breaking the world's addiction to fossil fuels."

"The 3 Step Climate Action Plan is something everyone can adopt, it is simple, powerful and straightforward", explains Steve Ewings. "Firstly, it is about taking personal responsibility for our own carbon emissions, then challenging our leaders to put in place appropriate carbon reduction policies, and finally communicating the urgency for action to others."

"The Global-Greenhouse-Warming.com web site was developed to inform people about climate change using ordinary language", says Mr Ewings. "The site's 120 plus pages are based on reports from the International Panel on Climate Change. We already have the technology, knowledge and skills to reduce carbon emissions, we just need to act. If we don't act now on a scale equal to the problem, our children and future generations will suffer the consequences of our inaction."

Mr Ewings studied archaeology and paleoanthroplogy and is now employed assessing and managing renewable energy programmes in Australia. He stated that his archaeological studies have provided insight into how humans have repeatedly overexploited the world's natural resources. "We are running out of niches to move into", argues Ewings, "we simply cannot afford to ignore the overwhelming scientific evidence of climate change. The 3 Step Climate Action Plan is about leaving our children with a planet that isn't an ecological disaster".

Global-Greenhouse-Warming.com is as a comprehensive online resource on climate change available to the general public, schoolteachers, and children. The site is continually updated and climate change lessons are under development. These will provide schoolteachers with a 20 plan lesson framework to use in the class room. A short course for adults is also being prepared. The course is designed to present the basics of climate change science, and raise awareness of the solutions to anthropogenic warming.
