/24-7PressRelease/ - Montreal, Quebec, Canada, June 08, 2005 - The compound houses a 12,000 sq-ft storage area that utilizes some of the most advanced radio frequency identification technologies available. Adjoin, an additional 10,000 sq-ft print and apply section, known as the 'Compliance Center', works round the clock to tag cases as they enter through arriving gates.

Sam Falsafi, Director of Business Development and RFID Strategy elaborates: "Ship2save's smart-warehouse is the most advanced and automated facility of its kind in North America. Goods arriving at our facility are enabled with a combination of RFID passive and active tags. That allows us not only to be able to monitor inventory count, but zone individual items within the facility. It's something really revolutionary across the board."

The facility not only can zone individual items, but can detect movement of high-value assets and trigger alarms if those assets do not have clearance to be moved.

Executive Business Analyst Konrad Konarski adds: "The technology we use here at our Smart Warehouse facility truly secures our customers assets. Where as using the traditional passive tag can monitor goods at specific read points. Using this active technology in conjunction, we can actually determine if someone is trying to move the item immediately. If you try to break the tag, we'll detect it, if you try to tear the tag off, we'll detect it, if you try to block the reading of the tag, we'll detect it, and by the time you realize your actions are futile, the warehouse will have locked down automatically and the authorities will have been alerted."

Having already secured lucrative contracts with two major companies, Ship2Save is in negotiations with several more Manufacturers and Distributors looking for Fail Safe RFID solutions.

"The development of the warehouse was a joint cooperation between our engineers, our partners, and our clients who have taken a step ahead of the competition by opting to look to the future, and to RFID. One of these clients using the facility is among the top steel distributors on the continent. We're very pleased with the results we're currently experiencing with their shipments, and are already looking to extend this warehouse facility in the near future." adds Dino De Luca, President and CEO of Ship2Save.

Ship2Save is one of the industry leaders in cost effective RFID Solutions and is a founding member of the Global Microsoft RFID Advisory Council. Ship2Save's unique product lines, flexible and proficient software, business development models, and distinctive deployment services, offer customers cost effective and high quality solutions for their logistic needs.
