Launch of Online Comparison Service Specialising in Credit Cards, Loans and Finance

Money Monkey today announces the official launch of its online comparison website. The website has been designed to provide comprehensive and independent advice to customers who may be interested in a huge range of financial products.

/24-7PressRelease/ - YORK, UK, June 21, 2006 - Money Monkey enables customers to see what the best deals are and purchase the products online. For example, the section on credit cards will list the UK's leading credit cards in order depending on what the consumer selects as the most important factors for them. This might be the 'APR for balance transfers' and hence the customer has a quick and easy way of seeing which card is the best for them. Similarly, the website offers comparison services if you need a loan or are interested in switching your bank account.

The website also has a comprehensive search engine for a range of insurance products. Money Monkey allows consumers to come to a single point of contact for all of their insurance needs. The number of insurance products offered is too long to list, but includes car insurance, home and contents insurance, travel insurance, life insurance, health insurance and pet insurance.

As well as credit cards, banking, loans and insurance, Money Monkey has teamed up with some of the country's leading experts to bring you further products. These include financial advice, pensions, mortgages, endowment sales, advice on claiming compensation if you have been mis-sold an endowment, investments and an easy way to switch you gas, electricity, phone and broadband providers to save hundreds of pounds a year.

Daniel Stott, Chief Executive Office said:

"We set up moneymonkey after years of years of listening to consumers complain about the confusing nature of buying financial products over the internet. Following a long period of research, we ended up with an enormous list of what customers wanted from a 'money website' and how they thought the information and services available on existing websites could be improved. We then set out to deliver a solution to solve all of these wants and needs - the result is Money Monkey.

One of the themes that came out of the research was to ensure that the website was easy to use - that the user could easily understand what each page was for, and that they could easily navigate to other pages.

Another theme was to get rid of unnecessary and confusing information - consumers wanted the website help them choose financial products, not run their lives for them.

Some of our partially sighted consumers who took part in the initial research stage were angered that other websites did not consider their needs. There are a number of tools built into internet browsers to assist partially sighted users. For example, one of the simplest is to select "View" and then "Text Size" and then increase the size of the text. However, the majority of other financial websites are written in a way that this functionality doesn't work.

In addition, unlike a number of our competitors, we do not push certain products based on the commission that a sale provides. Our commitment is to ensure that the customer gets the best deal and hence we are truly independent."
