iPhone Insurance Provider Reminds Business Users Value of Insurance
-- Smartphones are obviously a big part of people's home and professional life - especially so the businessman who has both an iPhone and BlackBerry! - so being without it could potentially have a huge impact. --

    WINDSOR, ENGLAND, February 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- New research* from iPhone insurance (http://www.protectyourbubble.com/business-insurance-for-mobiles-laptops-ipads-and-other-gadgets.html) specialist Protect your bubble has revealed that 93% of people use their smartphone for business, flagging up just how invaluable these gadgets are becoming and highlighting just how important it may be to have iPhone insurance.

The study also showed that surprisingly, although the iPhone is often portrayed in the media as the must-have phone, 24% of those who said they do use their smartphone for business use an iPhone. This is compared to 47% who say they are BlackBerry users.

Further interesting statistics show that:
- 29% of respondents use other smartphones such as the HTC or Google Android;
- 7% of business people say they do not have or do not want to use a smartphone for business. These are also all males;
- BlackBerry users were equally split among the age groups 25-34 and 35-54, with just 10% being in the 55+ age group;
- there are no BlackBerry users in the 18-24 age band;
- iPhone users featured in all age groups, with the most prolific users (55%) being in the 25-34 age bracket;
- one respondent admitted that he used both a Blackberry and an iPhone 3 for business!

Commenting on the study, Stephen Ebbett from Protect your bubble says: "Smartphones are obviously a big part of people's home and professional life - especially so the businessman who has both an iPhone and BlackBerry! - so being without it could potentially have a huge impact.

"With people often using their smartphone as a work tool, losing it or damaging it no longer just means having to rebuild an Address Book - it could mean the loss of important work-related data as well as personal data, impinging on all areas of their life.

"Ensuring that not only do they have some form of data back up in place, but iPhone insurance too, will give people real all-round protection against the unknown."

He adds that mobile phones are vulnerable to loss, damage and theft, adding that in 2010, 20% of Protect your bubble mobile phone insurance holders made a claim, with almost half of these claims (45%) being for accidental damage.

Mr. Ebbett summarises: "Protect your bubble iPhone insurance not only covers smartphone against hazards such as theft, breakdown, accidental damage, and optional loss, but free data back up is also available, too. This means that people won't lose all their important data should something happen to their phone. Plus, with a phone guaranteed to be replaced within 48 hours of a successful claim, their work and personal life won't have to be put on hold for too long!"

Other than iPhone insurance packages, Protect your bubble also offers gadget insurance on cameras, camcorders, notebooks, Blackberry devices, iPods, iPads mobile phones, game consoles, MP3 players, PC's, PDA's, Macbooks and satnavs from GBP1.49 a month
