Experience Miami Heat with Jazz Trio "Reuben Hoch and Time" in a Rare New York Appearance

Hoch known for his cutting edge work with The chassidic Jazz Project demonstrates musical versatility while leading his new jazz trio, "Time". Joined by Avishai Cohen's pianist, Sam Barsh and Joe Lovano's bassist, Ed Schuller, Time takes the creative essence of the jazz art form to new heights. Hoch calls the trio, Time in order to emphasaize the drummers critical role as the keeper of time. Hoch's renowned Chassidic Jazz Project demonstrates his committment to innovation.

He maintains the company of Grammy Award nominee Bobby Thomas Jr. of Weather Report and Monty Alexander's group and reedman Felipe Lamoglia who shares his talents with the bands of Arturo Sandoval and Gonzalo Rubalcaba. To quote Hoch, "Complacency is not my bag ! Miles and Trane always raised the barline for everyone else". Hoch has continuously aspired to do just that as leader of The RH Factor, The Chassidic Jazz Project or sideman in the adventurous Israeli Jazz Quartet, Zaviot.

Hoch's career boasts appearances or recordings with Dave Liebman, Greg Osby, Jim Pepper, David Schnitter, Valerie Ponomaerov, Lonnie Plaxico Joey Calderazzo, Ron McClure, Richie Vitale, Scott Lee, Bobby Thomas Jr., Don Friedman, Leni Stern, Jeff Andrews and Christoph Spendel to name a few. Hoch records a new CD with "Time" on Naim Records later in January joined by pianist Don Friedman and Bassist Ed Schuller. Hoch plans to make a powerful musical statement with Time; "The musical potential of the trio format is exponential, there are endless creative possibilities".
