PRESCOTT, AZ, February 09, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel J. Batty has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Batty has found remarkable success as the vice president of design and construction and senior director of construction at Dutch Bros Coffee since 2018. In addition to overseeing the company's brand elements, he manages a $200 million budget, meets with potential vendors, reviews development contracts, and attends conferences annually.
Since joining his organization, Mr. Batty has grown the business exponentially from 270 locations in 2018 to over 830 locations in 2023. This encompassed building a new department from four to more than 20 workers in the design, construction management, project coordination, administration, and billing areas. Mr. Batty anticipates future growth, fulfilling the brand's goal of building 4,000 locations soon.
Crediting his leadership to much of his good fortune, Mr. Batty has built a highly skilled and dedicated team that has been instrumental in the company's expansion. Despite resolving to never work in the construction industry after watching his father work so hard in the field, he spent his entire career as a builder. Before being recruited by Dutch Bros Coffee, Mr. Batty was a project manager for CKE Restaurants Inc. from 2006 to 2016 and Dunkin Brands between 2016 and 2018. During an earlier stage of his career, he held various other roles, including as an area construction manager for McDonald's USA LLC.
Mr. Batty recently finished writing his first book, "No Ego Policy," which he hopes to publish by the summer of 2024. Besides his professional commitments, he has enjoyed giving back to various local organizations and causes, including as a member of the Joy to Childhood Foundation and as a chairperson for the City of Dana Point's 10th anniversary committee. Mr. Batty also supports various veterans' associations in support of his father, who served in the Korean War before dying by suicide. Previously, he served on the board of managers for the San Diego YMCA, as a founding board member of the Beach Cities YMCA of Orange County, and, among other roles, as the president and as a board member for the City of Dana Point Chamber of Commerce and a board member for the San Juan Capistrano Chamber of Commerce.
Highly educated, Mr. Batty received an Associate of Arts in general studies from Saddleback College in 1986, a Bachelor of Arts in political science and public administration from California State University in 1993, and a Master of Art in organizational management from the University of Phoenix in 2006.
In light of his local contributions, Mr. Batty received a Recognition Award for Community Leadership Activities from the County of Orange in 1999 and a Resolution for Outstanding Community Service from the California State Senate/Assembly in 1999.
