She received an Associate of Arts degree in Home Economics from Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2001 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences (emphasis in Dietetics and Nutrition) from the University of Mississippi in 2003. After earning a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from the University of Southern Mississippi in 2004, she completed a dietetic internship at Tulane University in 2007. Additionally, she is licensed as a registered dietitian by the Mississippi Department of Health.
As a dedicated civic advocate, Mrs. Moore served as secretary from 2011 to 2013 and fundraising chair from 2010 to 2013 for the Mississippi Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She also served as treasurer from 2009 to 2010 and secretary from 2008 to 2009 for its Northeast District. Her dedication was recognized when she was named Young Dietitian of the Year by the Northeast District of the Mississippi Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in 2010.
Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Moore finds joy in spending time with her family.
