NEW YORK, NY, May 16, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edgar J. Ridley has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Mr. Ridley stands out as a distinguished figure in the field of behavior science and epigenetics, with a career spanning more than five decades. As the owner and chairman of Edgar J. Ridley & Associates, Inc., since 1979, he has provided consulting services in the discipline of the behavior sciences to clients around the world. His most notable achievement has been the invention of a behavior concept known as the Symptomatic Thought Process®. This trademarked concept, which was unveiled at the Maastricht School of Management in Maastricht, the Netherlands in 1992, addresses the negative impact of symbols and symbolic thought on human behavior. As defined by Mr. Ridley, symbolic thought is a dynamic that has created mythology and superstition, which leads to racism and global white supremacy. Mr. Ridley and his team have had great success in training clients and students to shift their thought patterns to a symptomatic approach, using symptomal reading of situations. Mr. Ridley spent over two decades servicing clients for the Malaysia Productivity Corporation out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Indeed, Mr. Ridley has been designated as an Expert Consultant by the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) out of Tokyo, Japan.

An important thought leader and author, Mr. Ridley's contributions to literature in his field are notable and prolific. After becoming the first Black writer to be published in the prestigious Journal of Pastoral Care, Mr. Ridley completed his thesis. This thesis, titled "The Neurological Misadventure of Primordial Man", led to his first book, "An African Answer: The Key to Global Productivity", which examined the behavior patterns of African leaders. Mr. Ridley has the honor of receiving an endorsement of this book by the world-renowned productivity consultant, W. Edwards Deming, who was responsible for the rebuilding of Japan after World War II. Mr. Ridley expanded his analysis of symbolic thought into his second book, "Symbolism Revisited: Notes on the Symptomatic Thought Process". Finally, Mr. Ridley embarked on a three-volume series culminating in "The Golden Apple: Changing the Structure of Civilization - An Anthology". Book 1 of the Anthology provides a historical account of the damage wrought by symbols on human behavior, including the dangers of magical thinking, and how symptoms are innate to the neurological processes. Book 2 is devoted to the effect of symptoms on human behavior from antiquity to modern day. Book 3 introduces a new tool for problem solving, symptomatic neurological sampling. These works reflect Mr. Ridley's deep insight into global productivity and civilization's structural changes through behavior science.

Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Ridley served in the United States Marines for six years, an experience that instilled in him discipline and a unique perspective on human behavior and organizational structures. He then served as an ecumenical liaison with the Metropolitan Associates of Philadelphia, sponsored by the World Council of Churches out of Geneva, Switzerland. Mr. Ridley then became a senior psychotherapist at Temple University's Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program, where he was a liaison between Temple and the School District of Philadelphia, before embarking on his consulting career.

Mr. Ridley learned early on that the major educational institutions worldwide are built on eugenics, with the sole purpose of creating the false narrative that African people are intellectually and genetically inferior. Mr. Ridley deliberately selected his professors, including such luminaries as Ivan Illich and Paulo Freire. He then conducted independent study under the renowned physicist and anthropologist Cheikh Anta Diop, at the Radiocarbon Laboratory of I.F.A.N. (Institut Fondamental d'Afrique Noire), University of Dakar (now known as Cheikh Ante Diop University), in Senegal, West Africa. This brilliant decision-making regarding his education has been instrumental in his success and has fortified his innovative contributions to behavior science.

Mr. Ridley has received several prestigious awards recognizing his contributions and impact. In 2022, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joe Biden, marking a pinnacle in his career. He also has been inducted into the inaugural Black Authors Hall of Fame and is a recipient of the Carter G. Woodson Scholar Award bestowed by the Black Books Achievement Awards. Additionally, he has received the first Pan-African and Humanitarian Vision Award from African Profiles USA Magazine; and the Danny Glover Power of Dream Award and Platinum Who's Who Certificate of Achievement from the United Nations 2023 High Level Summit. Mr. Ridley's awards celebrate his influence and contributions to literature and society.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Ridley plans to continue his groundbreaking work of applying the Symptomatic Thought Process® as the solution to the world's problems. He strives to shift scientific and global communities from symbolic thinking and behavior to symptomatic thinking and behavior. This goal underscores his lifelong dedication to understanding and improving human behavior through scientific inquiry and practical application.
