1 800 GET THIN is a company dedicated to helping obese persons, in particular patients who suffer from obesity-related comorbid medical conditions. 1 800 GET THIN launches different marketing campaigns to educate the public about alternatives to living with obesity. 1 800 GET THIN considers this a major step in inversing the increasing rate of obesity in adults in Southern California.

1 800 GET THIN believes that obesity is a serious medical condition just as any other acquired diseases. Furthermore, many obese patients suffer from comorbid medical conditions related to their excessive weight. As another step in helping these persons, 1 800 GET THIN sponsors LAP-BAND seminars. LAP BAND system is a procedure approved by FDA for patients who have a BMI of more than 40, or between 30-40 who also suffer from at least one obesity-related comorbid health condition, among other requirements. Patients who are interested in this procedure can attend these seminars, presented by independent, licensed LAPBAND surgeons. They can learn more about this procedure and also review their medical history with the independent surgeon, who is better able to review all the facts in their case and together determine whether this surgery would be the right step for them.
